Hamster Story #5

 
Well, I can see that I've truly become obsessed with hamsters. I wrote Hamster Story #5! What a surprise!
  There are good news, and bad news. I'll talk about good news. It's about my school. You will probably know.
  It is vacation! It's winter vacation! Though it's only one month because we rest at Saturday, not go to school, it's still pretty cool. I can play, I can do anything I want in my freetime. I can read books, play games, whatever. So, my update will be slower than before. Yeah, sorry.
  Also, one more good news. Grandma came! I love Grandma. She's my mother's mother, so she's my matrilineal grandmother, I think. Anyway, Grandma is very lovely.  She is a bit plump, but she still has her black hair. She's not that old. She is 66 years old. She cooks very well. She's the best cook in the world, I bet. I love her potato soup.
 
  Now, bad news. It's about hamsters.
  Pudding died.
 
  No. NO. NOOOOOOOO.
  Pudding was my favorite hamster. She was, like, my treasure #3. And she was cold, black, thin.
  As time went, she became more frantic, and thin. I mean, she became really thin. She was really big, but suddenly she became thin, and just died. Also, she bited the railings, and wanted to go out. When I opened the cage door, she just jumped out and I patted her.
  Why did she die? Why? WHY?
  Well, anyway, I digged a hole under a tree and made Pudding Tree. I hope she grows well. It's snowing, and I worry about her getting cold.
  Now Robi and Pearl are left. I hope they survive longer than Robo and Pudding.
  I'll search for more news!

Just a minor FACT

  As the title says, just a minor FACT.
  I said that in Hamster Story #3, I did IBT TOEFL test. The result came.
  I am proud of myself. I'm not boasting. As a sixth grader, this is a rather high score. I expected 75, or worse.
  My TOEFL score is 86.

Hamster Story #4

  Hello. It has been a long time. I was really crazy about this drama. It's Korean name is '각시탈', and the English name will be Bridal Mask.
 

 
  It takes place at the period when Korea was invaded by Japan. A man named Li gang to was a very enthusiastic Korean who was a Japan police. He wanted to catch the Gat si Tal, but the Gat si Tal was his brother. Ii gang to killed Gat si Tal, at last knowing that it was his brother he wanted to catch.
  After killing his brother and losing his mother because of Japan policers, he became Gat si Tal and worked. Recently, he was exposed to Boonie, who was his first love ever.
  An attractive, Korean woman named Lala was adapted by a rich Japanese man. And she just realized that her loving Ii gant to was the Gat si Tal. The drama finished with she holding the gun and pointing it to Gat si Tal. I hope Gat si Tal is okay. The drama will be on next Wednesday, 10 P. M, and I can't wait!
  I love the main character. It's Ii gang to. He's real name is Kim Ju won, a very handsome, young, strong, a bit cute actor. He's tall, and really handsome. I'm crazy about him. Maybe he's the reason I'm crazy about this Gat si Tal drama.

  Anyway, that's not the main reason I'm writing. There's a rather depressing news.
  My hamster, Robo, the roboski hamster, died.
 
  I don't know why. The day before she died, I touched her, and she was so weak! Her fur was light brown, she was smaller, and she bited me, but it didn't hurt at all. I promptly felt that she was going to die tomorrow, or the day before tomorrow.
  And she died. She didn't eat any food, nor drink any water. When I was playing with my friends outside, she breathed shallowly, and turned until her stomach faced the ceiling of the cage. Then, she died like that.
  I put Robo in a brown box, and tied it with a rope. I digged under a small tree near our house, cutting a little of the tree's root as doing so. I put the box in the hole, and put the soil back, putting lots of stones and grass between the box and the surface so cats can't eat her. Now the tree will grow, roots covering the box. The tree will be Robo tree. It will have Robo's spirit with it.
  I wish Robo good luck. I loved Robo very much.

  Now, Robi is all alone in the large cage, and she looks sick, too. Her fur is blacker, but it is rough like Robo's before she died. Robi's butt(I'm sorry!) wound is now okay, but there was an accident again.
  You see, I let Robi on the ground to exercise her, but I lost her behind the piano. She won't come out! Father said let's wait, but mother just pulled the piano out, crunching little cute, poor Robi's right hand as she do so with the piano wheel. I can't forget the sharp exclaim of Robi as she hurt her hand.
  Now, she's okay. Her hand is still a bit hurt, being red, but there's strength in her hand, meaning that her bones must be better. I hope Robi lives a long, beautiful life.

  Pudding and Pearl are okay. They fight, but recently I fought out that Pudding was not the devil, Pearl was. When Pudding was doing nothing, Pearl just bited Pudding and exclaimed herself! She's just funny.
  Pearl is actually very scared of everything, including me. I don't know why. By touching Pearl, I found out that when hamsters are nervous or scared, they poop or pee.
     
  Well, more news if there's news. Bye!

Hamster Story #3

   Hi.
  Mmm. Now, my favorite hamster is Robi, a roboski hamster. Pudding is my second favorite. There's a story about this, and it's very... bloody and unfair.
  Pudding and Robi just fought together, simply. You see, hamsters fight together, and they're just playing. So, I thought they were playing. But just for caution, I stopped them.

  Next time, the fighting noise and the scream of Robi sounded too painful, so I watched. Pearl and Pudding were fighting small Robi together! I almost killed Pudding.
  I gently took Robi out of the cage, and guess what? There was blood! At first I thought 'Oh, Is it my nose bleeding again?' But I looked at Robi, and found out that at Robi's butt(sorry about that.), furs were gone, and the flesh was simply, a bit gone. I became hysterical. I told my mom, my dad, and even my friends.
  To stop this bloody fight, I put Pudding and Pearl in a really small cage. There was no space to move because
Pudding and Pearl filled the cage perfectly.
    (This is the cage I put Pudding and Pearl in. Pretty small, right? And painful for Pudding and Pearl, of course.)
  
  My mom made a brilliant solution: buy another small cage. Put Robi and Robo in the small cage, while Pudding and Pearl are in the large cage. So I bought a new small cage.

  And I let Robi recover. I didn't touch her except the time when I checked her wound and spread the medicine.)
Now, everything is peaceful. Pudding and Pearl just play together, Robi and Robo are safe and healthy, and I love them both very much.
  This is quite a shocking and long news. Anyway, see you!

Hamster Story#2

  Hello. It's been a long time since I wrote. Well, sorry about that.

  Today, I took IBT TOEFL test. I was the only sixth grader in the classroom where we get to take the exam. It felt kinda strange. I was the first to finish it. I hope the results come out okay.

  Anyway, my hamsters became great. I changed Angel to just Pearl. See, I don't want to name my hamsters. I just knew that there are kinds of hamsters named Pudding, Pearl, Roboski, and Junglian. So, I just named them. Just like their kinds.

  I really want to buy a Junglian hamster. Sadly, there's no space for more hamsters. Poor me. I don't want to let any hamster out. They are my life.

  Pudding and Pearl became bigger. I don't believe it. Pudding is my favorite hamster. She's so big, fat, but she's so cute, adhering to my hand like she is a metal objects and I'm a magnet. Her fur is smooth and soft from my frequent touching. I don't hope she gets stress.
  I solved the problem mentions in Hamster Story#1. All I have to do is take out Pudding and Pearl into another place(specifiacally, cage lid) and give food to Robo and Robi while Pudding and Pearl is out. I would give some small hamster food to Pudding and Pearl, and let them in after Robo and Robi is finished with their meal.

   Well, I'll write some more texts, talking about anything. If you're reading this, thank you for reading.

Hamster Story#1

  My hamsters are growing seriously strange as time goes by. What I mean is, Pudding and Angel gets bigger and bigger while Robo and Robi gets smaller and smaller. It is a very strange phenomenon.
  This is my theory. Every morning, I give breakfast to these cute hamsters. At first, I put Pudding and Angel out of the cage so Robo and Robi could eat freely. They are scared of Pudding, you know. Pudding is a devil at night. Anyway, in that way, Robo and Robi could not get all the nutrients in their food. So, I gave food to them, all of them in the cage. Then, Robo and Robi couldn't eat because of Pudding and Pudding and Angel all ate very much food so there were no food left for Robo and Robi.
  So my conclusion is that I must give Robo and Robi food containing enough nutrients.

                 

Another hamster!

  I bought a new hamster again! You see, I wanted to buy a Junglian so I have every sort of hamsters, but it didn't come out like that. If I buy a boy hamster, all my remaining hamsters would fight to get him, and there would be hundreds of babies in 2 months, I think. I don't like that. And the only remaining Junglian hamster was a boy.

  So, instead, I bought a Roboski one again. The one Roboski in my house often fought with Angel and Pudding, so I thought.

  'If I buy a new Roboski one, will they be friends because they are same hamsters?'

  Finally, I chose one. It was a small Roboski. I named it Robi.

  At the first time, Robi often fought with Pudding and Robo. Angel was always sleeping somewhere in the corner. However, soon Robo and Robi became great friends. However, unfortunately, Pudding attacked Robi, Robo, and Angel often. I looked at Angel's stomach and because of fighting, there are some places where her fur is gone! I felt so sick I almost dropped her.

  I hope Pudding becomes friends with Angel, Robo, and Robi. Next time, if I can buy another hamster, I hope it's a female Junglian.

Pajama Party

  Yesterday, I called my best friends and had a pajama party! The party started at 6:00. First, we ate dinner, which was steak and soup. It was very delicious. My friends complimented that it was really really super good. I felt proud of my mother.

  Then, we played. After we were out of things to do, we searched the Internet for more games. After computer games and searching new games, we began to play some really peculiar hide-and-seek. See, you stay in a place. You cannot move. Then, the person who catches closes her eyes and catches us with her eyes closed. It was really fun.

  Then, we watched a movie. It was "Thunder God:Thor". I was so sleepy watching, but after watching, I was awake. It was about this god, Thor. You see, this realm and that realm fight together and Thor just started a war again. So, his weapon was thrown into the human world somewhere and he was not a god, just a human. Then, his friend gods came and he got his weapon back and went to the god world. His bad brother suicided, and Thor broke the bridge which led to the human world.

  Next, we slept.

  In the morning, we played the peculiar hide-and-seek. Then, we ate breakfast. It was ham and egg. It was quite good. Then, we played the board game "Clue". We ate lunch, and said goodbye to each other.

  The pajama party was awesome, I think. I hope I can play with my best friends again.

New family members!

  Yesterday, I brought in my new family members! My mom or any other family members had babies. Then, what are they?
  They are........
  Cute hamsters!
  (Well, these are not my hamsters, but I'm just talking about hamsters right now, so I'll show pictures of hamsters.)
   

  There are two little hamsters, only girls. Well, it's not because I hate boys. It's because boy hamsters fight, and I'm first at having hamsters. Girls, however, are neat and safe. So, I decided to have two little hamsters!
  Well, there are three categories. One is Pearl. Another one is Roboski. And the last one is Pudding. Well, my new family members are Pearl and Pudding. I named Pearl 'Pearl' and Pudding 'Pudding'. Their names are just perfect!
  Later, I will take some pictures of my hamsters and show you the pictures. And you know what? These hamsters are just little babies, and they are very hard to controll. However, Pearl is different. She is neat and not destructive. She doesn't poop on anyone's fingers. Well, Pudding is destructive and poops anywhere. Today, I let Pearl and Pudding outside for a moment. And Pudding is a little controlled, but Pearl is almost controlled! I love both of them anyway.
  I was surprised at the hamsters' poop colors. I thought their poop would be brown. However, hamsters eat green things, so their poops are green.
  Just like really young babies.

New Year

  Today's the New Year in Korea! Well, everybody thinks that new year is on January 1st. Well, it's true. I'll explain.
  There is solar and lunar calender. Today, it's January 1st in lunar calendar! So, I went to my cousin's house and celebrated this new year.

  My family arrived yesterday. We made 'dong-gui-rang-taeng' and dumplings. (Sorry if my grammar is terrible. I honestly don't know how to spell them!) See this pictures:

  I played Nintendo games with my brother. It was fun.

  Well, I feel sorry for Do-kee teacher, who was my debate TA. He has to go to an university, and the interview is on this afternoon! I hope the schedule changed.

Home!

  Hey! I am in my sweet, sweet house! GLPS camp now finished. So, I went back to my home. I want to show the picture of my house, but then I would mean I'm giving information to some bad people, so I will just talk about my house.

  My house is on the 14th floor, and it has an electrical lock. The password is_______________. I will never let you know the password.

   Go inside, and there's three rooms and a bathroom. The smallest or the middle size room is my bedroom, the large one is my parents' and the last one is just,,, somewhere my family put our odds and ends.

  I felt so strange when I came into my house. It felt like I was in a time machine and I was in the future. But it was of course, my imagination. This feeling was because I was adjusted to a small dormitory room, not a large, free apartment full of rooms. I now feel comfortable, so don't worry.

  I love my home, my parents, everything in my house. Well, not mosquitos or bugs. Just mom, dad, me, and things. I love these things.

To American kids

  I watched a short video. It is about American kids' opinions about K-pop. I'll show you the video.



 
  I'll write a letter to the American kids.

  Dear American Kids who don't understand K-pop,
 
  Greetings, dear American Kids who don't understand K-pop.  The weather is so cold here, in Korea. How's your country, U.S.A, like? I hope you are very healthy without cold.
  Let me introduce myself. I am a Korean kid named Ye-in, Jung. I saw the video, about your opinions about K-pop. I am trying to understand K-pop.

  K-pop, is a Korean pop song. I know you already know this. But, this is just a restatement to remind you. Lots of countries think K-pop is really good. So, I was very outraged when you guys said "This song is so horrible!" But, of course, I may understand you. You are very embedded in your fantastic peaceful world, U.S.A. You only knows your country's pop songs. your country's pop singers, everything about YOUR country.

  However, this is the first time you listen to K-pop, and you might be frightened or freaked out. However, think about Korea people who listened to you. They might think you're a bit rude, don't you think? I mean, Korean people love K-pop. Think in our perspectives. If I and my other Korean friends ignore your pop songs, you would be outraged, right? Think about our mind, too!

  Sorry, I was a bit rude. I was simply, angry at your rigid opinions about K-pop. However, now, after you read my letter, I hope you understand K-pop more. Please think about Koreans who love K-pop. They will be purely outraged, torn, and hurt by you.

  I hope I see you again soon. I hope you understand K-pop more after you read my letter. Please try to understand our culture and K-pop, okay? This is my request for you. See you later. Have a nice day.

  I hope American kids really understand K-pop. I was a bit angry at that time. I hope they read this letter and changer their opinions. If they do change their opinion, I would really thank them.

Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter, and Spring

  I saw a film named 'Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter, and Spring'. It is divided into 5 parts: Spring, summer, autumn, winter, and spring. I only saw the first 'spring' part.

  An apprentice and an old monk lived in a temple which was on an island. The island was surrounded by water, and they had a boat to go to land. One day, the apprentice went to land himself and tied a rock to a fish, a frog, and a snake. The monk watched it all and when the apprentice was sleeping, he tied a big rock to the apprentice's back. To get it off, the apprentice freed the animals because the monk ordered him, but the animals were almost all dead.

  Surely, I did not kill any fish, frog, or snake in my whole life. I can't even touch them because I'm scared of them. Well, I had killed few ants. They are very small and I can easily kill them by stepping on them. Still, I'm scared of them. In Philippine, my two big toes were both bitten by red ants, and it hurt a little bit. And I was young at that time, so I cried a bit.So, if you pick up an ant and scare me, I'll scream, run away, trip, and probably break my ankle. However, if they're on the ground, that's a whole different situation. I believe I  had killed 20 ants in my whole life. I killed 5 ants when I was young. I was crazy at that time, looking at the ants avoid me as much as possible. 10 ants were sacrificed to release my stress. That was when I first started to go to English and Math academy. The 5 left ants were just killed for... fun.

  Now, I don't kill any ants. Don't consider me as a violent child. Also, after watching this film, my thought and belief about life's important increased. An old Korean saying comes to my mind:
  'An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth'.
  I believe this film's 'spring' part's theme is 'let's save life'. From now on, I'll never kill any animals or bugs. Well, except those disgusting small bugs that crawl into my house. But that's not the point. Life is so important. I don't understand why I killed ants before. In ant's perspectives, I would not like to be stepped on. Let's always remind ourselves that life is really important!

Wacky web tales: The Beach

The Beach

  Hooray! Summer is finally here, and that means we can go to the beach! Today, my family is going to Gyeong-Myeong Beach, and I can bring a friend with me. I decide to invite my best friend Ann. I know Ann will want to go with us. She thinks going to the beach is beautiful!

  We start our beach day by watching the sunrise, and then eating breakfast at Uncle Chul-min's Pancake Hut. I always get banana flavored pancakes.

  After breakfast we swim the waves, go walking for seashells, and drown a sandcastle. Then we eat the lunch we packed for the beach. It's my favorite—nut sandwiches. The only time nut sandwiches are not so delicious is when you drop them in the sand.

  By 12, everyone's had enough of the beach. But Gyeong-Myeong Beach is fun at night, too! There is a really pretty boardwalk. It's always crowded with people. Would you believe we saw my teacher Mr. Garrioch there, eating a huge banana split?

  There are a lot of cool shops on the boardwalk. You can get a little hermit cat, but make sure your mom and dad say it's okay! My favorite store is the jewelry store. Ann and I each buy a rope bracelet that will bite when it gets wet. Pretty shiny!

  By 8:00, we're all ready to head home. I usually fall asleep on the ride home. I can't wait to go to Gyeong-Myeong Beach again.

  The word I emphasized(like shiny) is where I put the words.

Meta Fiction: A family's story

  It was a starry night with a half moon. A girl named Ellison and a girl named Mary were living in a small wooden house. Ellison suggested about chain talking. So, Ellison started.

  It was a dark yet bright night. The night was starry with a half moon. The win blew gently, and the fog was drifting slowly.

  A small wooden house was built high up in the mountains. A small family was living in the small house. They family consisted of a mother, a father, and a young daughter.

  Then, Mary sipped some hot cocoa and continued.

 

  A family was living happily. The father was cutting down trees and catching fish. The mother was collecting berries and the family were eating delicious things for dinner. Their daughter was 3 years old, but she had a very serious disease. Her mom and dad went to the hospital, but the doctor just said that there is no medicine for that specific disease! The parents were so sad and disappointed.

  

  Mary ate one brownie and continued.

  One day, the daughter was just left alone at the house. She was lying at the floor, crying and there was no one to comfort her. She crawled to the door but then she hit her head at the sharp edge of the door.
  
  She cried and cried. Fortunately, the mother returned with lots of bunches of berries.
  "Oh, my cute daughter. What happened to you?"
  "Mama! If fdo..."

  Of course, she was 3 years old! But she pointed to the head and the mother found out the blood on her head. The mother called the father and together, they went to the hospital.

 

  Their minds sank deeply when the doctor said, "Unfortunately, this girl has serious injury in her brain and she's using all her life and strength to learn knowledge. She will be a genius, but after 820 days, she will be sadly... dead."

 

   Ellison continued, eating one sugar cookie and a cup of hot cocoa.

  The mother and father cried. The doctor felt sorry for them, so he told them the dangerous but the only cure. When the parents heard this cure, both of them were very shocked. The cure was trying the first peculiar brain surgery! And the chance to live was 50%! They might have to sacrifice their child. However, they gave the child to the doctor and prayed for the god to help them.

  After one day, the doctor went to the parents and congratulated them. The child was alive! Also, she was a genius! From then on, the parents lived happily ever after with the genius child. The child grew and grew and grew and became a very beautiful woman. She married a very rich man and lived happily.

   Ellison yawned. Mary dozed. Together, they fell into sleep.
